This time I write down the good news about my building permit. Just a few month ago (isn’t it a month already?) I wrote that my calculation of building permit was done, and I need to pay it to get my permit. I remain you that those processes already 6 month and still on going. The thing is I could not believe the amount which I should pay. It is outrages.
For your information, the next door fancy house with 400 m2 cost about 25 Mio while my house with only 120 m2 cost about 13 Mio which I believed something was not right. I then go back to the building permit office and asked for the clarification, and finally found out that the it caused by different charge of building type. Despite of the size, location and the looks (fancy or not fancy), the charge mainly based on the residential or non residential. And the different of that could be 3 times higher.
So the lesson is, one should spesifically wrote it down the title of the drawing, and more important the room name of each drawing. Do not use the office, or work room or whatever similar if you only want to design the house or residential. That was happened to me, I wrote down the office near the kitchen and the sleeping room and boom, the have assumed my house is office.
Luckily I have managed to meet the head of the building permit division, and explain to him what is my problem. The respon was quick, He said just change the drawing and re-submit again, so the staff can do recalculation. First I was worried that I will fall into long-painful-waiting moment again, but I think it is worth to try. I got the clarification on friday, and then resubmitted document on wednesday morning. At wednesday afternoon, I call the staff who recalculate the charges (I asked all related staff phone number, cause I need to monitor all the progress). He said that my document already signed and I need to come by to the office to do the payment. I asked him what is the final charge, he then informed me it become half than previous charge.
Well, that was really a good news, I ran back again to the office, and meet the financial staff to pay the charge. It was really half price, the final charge was 5.8 Mio, and I saved about 7 Mio. Well that really big saving since I need all the money to renovate my old house
