Good skilled worker

Finding the good skill worker is not an easy job. I keep terminate my worker and try to find other since what they have promised is not what they showed. Every workers want to have a big payment (as high as they can get) but not worth of a penny of it. Call me sarkasm, but that is reality.

Never asked workers of what his specialization, because they will answer that they can do anything, you named it they can do it. But careful of this kind of worker, since this is the first clue that inform you that they are not sure what they capable of.

I still list my defected list of my building, and the cost of fixing those. Hope that after the Seagames 26 there will be a lot of idle workers available

BBN motor vespa #1

Saya baru teringat kalau STNK motor sudah harus diperpanjang besok, dan teringat oleh Saya kalau KTP pemilik lama harus disertakan jika akan memperpanjang. Masalahnya Saya tidak tahu alamat pemilik lama dan bagaimana mendapatkan KTP-nya. Saya kemudian pergi menemui penjual motor di kawasan Talang Keramat, untung tempatnya masih ingat. Sesampainya disana si penjual mengatakan kalau no telepon pemilik lamanya ada di telponnya yang rusak, dan dia tidak bisa mengantarkan Saya ke rumah pemilik aslinya karena dia ada keperluan. Jadi kalau pun akan menunggu dia untuk mengantarkan baru seminggu kemudian. Artinya waktu untuk memperpanjang akan terlewat, dan pasti kena denda. Alternatif lain yang diusulkannya adalah dengan mengurus BBN (bea balik nama) karena untuk itu tidak diperlukan KTP asli pemilik lama, cukup kwitansi jual beli, BPKP dan STNK asli serta KTP pembeli.

Saya semula agak enggan untuk mengurus BBN karena sudah terbayang betapa ribet dan lamanya waktu yang akan terbuang jika mengurus sendiri, tapi juga jika melalui calo/broker atau sejenisnya agak enggan untuk mengeluarkan biaya ekstra, pertama Saya memang tidak suka memberikan “uang lelah” untuk kegiatan yang sifatnya terpaksa, dan kedua Saya tidak ingin ikut menyuburkan profesi percaloan ini. Mas Gatot, si penjual ini menawarkan orang yang biasanya membantu dia untuk mengurus dokumen motornya, dia bilang “orang dalam” dan memang lebih aman daripada calo lepas yang ada kemungkinan dokumen kita hilang atau malah duit kita diambil tapi dokumen tidak selesai. Selain itu pula ia ikut membujuk dengan kalimat, “paling berapa uang lelahnya” untuk memastikan, tanya dulu harga resminya berapa, baru nanti cek dengan orangnya berapa dia menawarkan jasanya.

Dengan berbekal nama “orang dalam” Saya esoknya berangkat ke Samsat untuk mengurus BBN.

Heavy Rain

It was such heavy rain happened, from 9 pm until 6 am. A day before yesterday also happened. So it was Saturday afternoon and Sunday night, and it is April. Before I knew that rainy season happen on 6 month, starts on September until February, but now I think the climate changes already. Rainy or hot season can’t be predicted anymore.

My problem is that I am in the middle of renovating the house, and the works is replacing the roof. So you know my trouble is.

I just accidentally registered to Three blackberry service. I thought that I can’t register because my phone credit is not enough, but it turn to be succesful. So know I have 2 service for Blackberry, XL and Three.

Work for your own success

It is true that success need a practice. The more one achieve something the more confidence one’s get. I have to say and tell to my self that success is not the goal, it is only the result, sometime it is only the side effect of something we do passionately. We as a human need to do and do it with all of our capability, all of our thought and energy. We need to give 100% of everything that we do. And after that just give it to the final judge. The Almighty, Allah the merciful.

Sometime we failed because we don’t do it right, or we just do it with our laziness. Alva Edison said (with my free translation) -whenever we failed- at least I know that 99% of the things which doesn’t work, and I need to find 1% which works. So work, work, and work. Do it right and do it more not only once if you have to.

Things that you have go thru when you have lost your motorbike

Part One

This is a true story of mine. I have lost my motorbike at my own backyard. It is a sad, and really hurt my security level at home. I can tell you that I am really paranoid because of that matters.

After reported at police station, I then went to the Adira where I got my motorbike’s leasing. According to the manager, I shouldn’t go to the police first, because the local police will asked more money for the paper works. He prefer to report the accident to the city police which have more journalists so they couldn’t ask for something fishy.

I said based on my family’s experience I have to go to local police because the city’s police will not process my problem due to sectoral division. The manager said that what the letter from Adira used for, as an introduction.

Anyway since I have already reported, He said I need to complete other paper works, total is 7 letters, and he informed those letters are required to process the claim. In the mean time insurance charge still need to be paid. He also clarified that was not insurance company to complete all letters but the customers. If the customers do not have time to fulfill it, he offered using sevice consultant who are also work for Adira but work as service consultant in his spare time. erfan

So little time so much to do

I need to set my priority to conclude all my works, since everything happen at the same time. Well, here is the list:

1. Manage the construction site

2. Looking for the plumbers and electrical workers

3. Design the mass housing building

4. Manage renovation of the flat, need to find the carpenters

5. Manage the final studio.

6. Manage the computer lab

7. Design the home office

8. Manage the lecture architecture theory and the 2 studios.

9. Manage the financing reports

10. Check and control the Grissik project

11. Maintain the communication of the previous office

I can’t think the rest, but I still missing one or two items. I will add it later when I can remember it.

Recap of today

Today is very special date 10.10.10 (10 October 2010) so I must write something to remember it. First, the demolishing of the front house is finally done. It means the next step is to construct a new building, as for your information, I have not get the permit plank yet ( I have already paid, but it needs 30 days at least to get the permit plank).

Second, I have attended the IAI meeting at Graha Sriwijaya and got the jackpot 1 Mio, so that was also surprise considering I rarely win any lotto, or anykind of lucky dip games. I also have to replace the coordinator of final studio, and think about to change the rules because the old rules make the students hard to pass the test. In short there are 4 tests as supposed to 3 tests only.

Building permit #3

This time I write down the good news about my building permit. Just a few month ago (isn’t it a month already?) I wrote that my calculation of building permit was done, and I need to pay it to get my permit. I remain you that those processes already 6 month and still on going. The thing is I could not believe the amount which I should pay. It is outrages.

For your information, the next door fancy house with 400 m2 cost about 25 Mio while my house with only 120 m2 cost about 13 Mio which I believed something was not right. I then go back to the building permit office and asked for the clarification, and finally found out that the it caused by different charge of building type. Despite of the size, location and the looks (fancy or not fancy), the charge mainly based on the residential or non residential. And the different of that could be 3 times higher.

So the lesson is, one should spesifically wrote it down the title of the drawing, and more important the room name of each drawing. Do not use the office, or work room or whatever similar if you only want to design the house or residential. That was happened to me, I wrote down the office near the kitchen and the sleeping room and boom, the have assumed my house is office.

Luckily I have managed to meet the head of the building permit division, and explain to him what is my problem. The respon was quick, He said just change the drawing and re-submit again, so the staff can do recalculation. First I was worried that I will fall into long-painful-waiting moment again, but I think it is worth to try. I got the clarification on friday, and then resubmitted document on wednesday morning. At wednesday afternoon, I call the staff who recalculate the charges (I asked all related staff phone number, cause I need to monitor all the progress). He said that my document already signed and I need to come by to the office to do the payment. I asked him what is the final charge, he then informed me it become half than previous charge.

Well, that was really a good news, I ran back again to the office, and meet the financial staff to pay the charge. It was really half price, the final charge was 5.8 Mio, and I saved about 7 Mio. Well that really big saving since I need all the money to renovate my old house
